Epidemiologic Studies
The Illinois Department of Public Health's Division of Epidemiologic Studies is
responsible for developing and managing the Illinois Health and Hazardous
Substances Registry.
Illinois State
Cancer Registry
ISCR is the only population based source for cancer incidence information in Illinois.
Adverse Pregnancy Outcomes Reporting System
The Adverse Pregnancy Outcomes Reporting System (APORS) is a registry of Illinois infants born with congenital anomalies (birth defects) and other serious neonatal conditions.
Occupational
Disease Registry
The Occupational Disease Registry (ODR) conducts surveillance of selected occupational diseases, injuries and
conditions.
Adult Blood Lead Registry (ABLR)
ABLR collects data on cases of elevated blood lead levels of 25 micrograms per deciliter (mcg/dL) and above for adults 16 years of age and older and notifies federal enforcement agencies to trigger inspections and/or interventions.
Census of Fatal
Occupational Injuries (CFOI)
CFOI counts all fatal work injuries in Illinois, providing information on how
the injury occurred and on certain characteristics of the fatally injured
person.
Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses (SOII)
SOII collects data on non-fatal injuries and illnesses in Illinois through a sample survey of private industry and government employers.
Research and Descriptive Reports
Articles and reports of epidemiologic research related to chronic disease,
birth defects, occupational diseases, occupational fatalities and injuries, mortality and other illnesses, and descriptive reports using program data.
Annual Reports
Annual reports from the Illinois Health and Hazardous Substances Registry describing accomplishments and research activities for each fiscal year.
