Note:  Due to recent changes to the state’s Pharmacy Practice Act, a drug is available for Drug Product Selection dispensing in Illinois under one of two conditions:

1. The drug has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and added to the Illinois Department of Public Health's published “Notification List”; or



2. The drug is approved for substitution by the (FDA) and is published as such within the FDA’s current “Orange Book”. In order for a drug to be approved for substitution and listed in the Orange Book, the product must have an "A", as a first letter, i.e. AA, AB, etc., within the TE column.
