Dr. Arthur Jones is the founder and CEO of the Lawndale Christian Health Center, a community health center serving predominantly the North and South Lawndale and East and West Garfield communities.  The Lawndale Christian Health Center currently provides over 100,000 medical visits annually with almost one-half of its patients being of low income and medically uninsured.  Dr. Jones has lived in North Lawndale for the past 25 years.  He graduated from the University of Illinois Medical School in 1979, and completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine - a year as chief resident and then a cardiology fellowship at the University of Chicago.  Dr. Jones is board certified in both internal medicine and cardiology.  He practices as a primary care physician at LCHC as well as a cardiology consultant and the director of the intensive care unit at Bethany Hospital.  He was also a founding member and still serves as a Deacon of the Lawndale Community Church.
