James M. Moore, Chief Executive Officer, was appointed to the executive position of Chief Executive Officer on May 1, 1999 and to the Office of Chief Executive Officer on August 16, 1999. Mr. Moore was also appointed on August 16, 1999 to the respective Boards of Directors of the Corporation, the Foundation, SFI, and OSF Health Plans, and to the office of Vice-Chairperson for the corporation and for the Foundation, SFI, and OSF Health Plans. He has previously served the Corporation in the positions of Chief Executive Officer for the central Illinois region (1996-1999); Associate Administrator, Saint Francis Medical Center (1981-1985); and as an accountant at the Corporate Office of the Corporation (1977-1981). Before joining the Corporation, Mr. Moore was an accountant at Peat, Marwick, Main and Company, Peoria, Illinois (1974-1977). Mr. Moore holds a B.S. degree in accounting from Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for two years. Mr. Moore is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Illinois Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Moore is the past Chairman of the Board of the Illinois Hospital Association.
