Kenneth C. Robbins is president of the Illinois Hospital Association, Naperville, and Chief Executive Officer of the Association’s subsidiary corporations, Association Venture Corporation and Illinois Hospital Research and Educational Foundation. He retired after 29 years of service as a Colonel and Chief Judge Advocate General of the Illinois Air National Guard and United States Air Force. Before joining the Association as its General Counsel in 1976, he was legal counsel for the Committee on Government Regulation of the Massachusetts Legislature and a partner in a Boston law firm.
Mr. Robbins is a member of the Health Issues Study Society, the State Hospital Association Executives Forum, and the American College of Healthcare Executives. He also belongs to the American Academy of Hospital Attorneys, the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Illinois Association of Hospital Attorneys. He is a member of the Board of the Lincoln Foundation for Performance Excellence.
Mr. Robbins holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a law degree from Suffolk University Law School, Boston.
Ken lives in Wheaton, IL and is married to Eileen and has six daughters and six grandchildren.
