Ruth M. Rothstein retired August 1 st, 2004 from the Cook County Bureau of Health where she was the Chief Executive for 14 years. She had an $852 million budget and oversaw the workings of 3 hospitals, 30 clinics, and an HIV/AIDS program in a freestanding building. She also spent 25 years as the CEO of Mt. Sinai Hospital of Chicago. She is currently the Chairperson of the Board Trustees at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, and is also fundraising for a number of organizations.
