Gregory Smith is currently the Vice President for Group Marketing Services (GMS). He oversees the distribution of employer-sponsored benefit plans throughout Illinois and neighboring states, and works with hundreds of independent agents in helping them bring their customers high quality insurance benefit solutions. Mr. Smith was previously a Manager of Sales and Account Management with Travelers Insurance Company.

Gregory has been active in the insurance industry and currently serves on the MGA Advisory Council of Starmark/Trustmark Life Insurance Company and GA advisory Council of the Principal Financial Group. He was a founding member of the Central Illinois Association of Health Underwriters (CIAHU), the downstate Illinois chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters. He was also the Chapter President of CIAHU, State President of the Illinois State Association of Health Underwriters, and a presenter and discussion panelist of the Governor’s Small Business Summit.

Gregory graduated from Wartburg College with at B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science, and has completed numerous continuing education courses related to the insurance industry. He has previously served on his Church Governing Board, the Lutheran Social Services of Illinois Advancement Council, as a Church Foundation Board Member. Greg is also very active in his family’s travel soccer and school activities.
