| June 20, 2002 PROGRAM FOR LATINA WOMEN TO BE HELD SPRINGFIELD, IL The Illinois Department of Public Health is sponsoring a health summit for Latina women on Saturday, June 29, in River Grove. "A Day for the Latina Woman, Improving Health Throughout All Stages of Life," will be presented in Spanish at the Robert M. Collins Performing Arts Center at Triton College, 2000 Fifth Ave. The program will feature a broad range of topics, including nutrition, hormonal changes throughout life, access to health care and dancing as a form of exercise. Caren Ex, a licensed social worker and former radio talk show host of "Carina: Su Mejor Amiga," will serve as master of ceremonies. The program will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with registration from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. |
