JACKSONVILLE NURSING HOME DISCIPLINED
SPRINGFIELD, IL -- The Illinois Department of Public Health has taken disciplinary action against Barton W. Stone Christian Home, a 176-bed skilled, intermediate and sheltered care facility located at 873 Grove St. in Jacksonville, for not providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation to an 85-year-old resident found not breathing and without a pulse.
The facility was ordered to implement a plan of correction to ensure each resident's physician is notified immediately of a significant change in condition, and staff are aware and follow facility policies and procedures for medical emergencies and when to perform life-sustaining treatment.
Barton W. Stone Christian Home has agreed to pay a $5,000 fine.
